Wagamama Restaurant at Wisma KAC

BF and I are Japanese food lovers. Our favourite Japanese restaurant in town is Wagamama Restaurant, which is located at Lintas because the food is fresh, and the prices are reasonable. So when we heard that a new branch is opened at the new mall, Wisma KAC, we just HAD to check it out!

We couldn't find the location at first, and had to ask for directions from the security guard.

The food there were very delicious and fresh. I didn't know the first item we took from the train costs RM12! I think it's those with the orange coloured saucer. I had the Nizakana set, and BF simply had to try out their Udon, as he claimed that this is their specialty. And it turned out that he was right. The Udon (forgot which one though) that he ordered was ver yummy, indeed..

We've never tried any of the Japanese liquor, so we felt like doing so that night.

So we tried out the warm sake, and what d'ya know.. it tasted exactly like the local rice wine, Tapai!

It was funny seeing BF's face getting redder and redder throughout the meal.

To those who love Japanese food as well, give this place a try at Wisma KAC.

1 - I'm in the quest of visiting all Japanese restaurant in KK. So far I have been to the one in Hyatt (too pricey), the one in Warisan Plaza (too new) and the one in Palm Square (service not very good).

May I know where exactly Wisma KAC is? And can you verify if they are pork-free?

Thanks. (Comment this)

2 - ewan, Wisma KAC is beside Asia City; it's the new mall there. And all Wagamama branches are pork-free. :)

Thanks for sharing. And for checking out my blog. :) (Comment this)

3 - Yeayyyy... went there for dinner this evening. Definitely coming back for more! Had a sushi feast off the conveyor... all 13 plates of varying colours!

The grub, like you said, is fresh! And the ambience is nice (short of the flourescent lamp they have. But you don't have to look up all the time). I am partial to relaxed and bright when it comes to makan. It is believably Japanese without having you to pretend that you are, and the staff do look like they know their work.

Verdict: Worth another visit.

Stark contrast to Oya Buffet Japanese restaurant which was disappointing. It's cheap - RM20 nett for a buffet. But then again, you DO GET what you paid for. Hahahah. The only highlight was the Teppanyaki. That's all. I couldn't wait to leave as the place was hot. I think they swithed just one air-cond to jimat. (Comment this)

4 - ewan, TQ for you comments! Am glad you had a great time here!

And as for Oya.. urgh, went there a long time ago, that was the first and the last time I did; the food horrible, place hot, and the worse thing was that we were charged RM45 per pax! So, sorry, that place is REALLY out for me. (Comment this)
