Another Food Review
A client of mine asked me to visit her new restaurant located at downtown KK. So BF and I decided to go check it out and do a food + place review of it.
Here's the overall view of food that we ordered..
The rice was served in an interesting bowl. Not the usual Chinese restaurant bowl; this one is quite wide, which was perfect for me so I could put a lot of food on it!
The chickuteh was supposed to be for 2 pax, but it was so little it wasn't even enough for me. Taste: so-so only lah.
We wanted our veggie to be cooked in the usual way; no fancy cooking there. The mushroom dish was excellent, though. Turned out that the chef used both red & white wine in it! No wonder so yummy!
But our favourite dish was clearly the sweet & sour chicken. At first we thought it was frog (Chinese miscommunication, cuz he said chicken & frog in Chinese sounds almost alike) but we asked the lady boss and she confirmed it was only chicken. Phew! I've had frog once before; never again! (Not that it's not nice, but at that time when I ate it, the aquarium behind me was full of live frogs all looking at me eating their cousin! That's the 1st and the last time I'm eating frog!)
The chicken was so good that I ordered a 2nd bowl of rice! BF who's supposed to be on a diet, couldn't resist and followed suit! Said he couldn't stand seeing me having a 2nd bowl; he wanted to eat a lot too! LOL.
The silly thing was, I forgot to take then name of this restaurant! Argh! Should any of you be interested to check out this place, email me, and I'll ask my client on the restaurant name!
