Caneeliea Talks

Here I am, finally! My dad's kampung (village), Kampung Patau.. situated along Tambunan-Ranau Road. This is a real kampung, no shopping malls (just small shops selling only the necessities). And my house has no entertainment: no TV, no radio, only electricity and water. Luckily I remembered to bring the notebook, though! (to watch movie at night lah, what else..)

This is the kampung where the Mahua Waterfall's junction is at (more about this waterfall on the next post). The tourists, especially Japanese, just love this place, as they can clearly see the Kadazandusun's way of living, as well as enjoy the beautiful and almost untouched scenery (only the big power lines are starting to come up on the hills).

I finally went back to kampung in Tambunan over the weekend. The last time I went there was in year 2000 (if I'm not mistaken). Anyway, here are the chronicles of my trip there..
