Blooming Bougainvillea

My mom's bougainvillea are in full bloom now. Looks very nice. Just so everyone know, my mom is CRAZY about plants, especially orchids and bougainvillea. I personally have no patience over plants. I just like to look at the flowers, not take care of them!

Anyways, check out her orchid stand and her latest orchid purchase:

A 'Happy' Ending

Happy; looking dirty & exhausted

My neighbour's dog, Happy, has been gone for the past 2 days. Our guess is that she just got lost somewhere in the neighbourhood and doesn't know her way back home. Their guess is that she got kidnapped.

But this afternoon as my boo and I were leaving the house, we saw Happy (pictured above) sitting in front of a gate near our house! We called her name a few times, to see of any response. And she turned to look at us! My boo was convinced that it's her, so I called my mom to go check Happy out, and to inform my neighbour. We just left after that.

We were later told that my brother walked over to go see her, and called her name. She gladly went after him, probably happy that somebody recognised her or something. He managed to persuade her to come to our house (with our own dogs tied up) and then informed the neighbour to come over. They said she was so excited to see the owner (a grandpa). Quite a happy reunion we were told. Too bad I missed it.

Unsafe Bread Report

This newslink is a day old, but to those who don't read The Star newspaper or online, here's an important warning on breads in Malaysia..

** My family eat lotsa breads at home! Yikes! And this might be the reason as to why I always have migraines! Hmph!

Anyways, read the ARTICLE here.

It was just a few weeks ago (I think) that the factory that produces High5 Bread have been closed down due to uncleanliness. Pictures of the factory after the jump..

Big Bro's Birthday

Yesterday was my brother's 30th birthday.

We only had a small celebration at home last night (if you would call dinner, with a birthday cake for dessert a celebration, that is). There was no name on the cake, bcuz there's no space to write it in. But it was a yummy cocktail fruit cake!

After that, my boo, my brother and I changed and went to my friend Steve's pub at Api-Api Centre. It's called The Office Pub. When we first came in, the songs played were 80's & 90's. Then, under the instructions of the lady boss (Avril, of course!), the music was then changed to R&B and latest hits. She gave those instructions just because of me! Cool!

We ordered 2 jugs of beer and a jug of banana dacquiri, as recommended by Steve. It tasted quite nice, actually, perfect for a lady who doesn't want any alcohol taste in their drinks. I stayed sober for the rest of the rest of the night! No tipsiness at all!

The guys also played some rounds of pool, together with Steve..

Avril then arrived at the pub, so it was picture taking time! There are more pics, but taken on her digicam. The batteries on mine died out. So I guess I just have to wait after she send them to me to put on this blog.

Then, the climax of the night; bro drinking his birthday drink; a Flaming Lamborghini! (Luckily my digicam managed to capture 3 more pictures before the batteries truly died out for the night. The flame on the glasses looked amazing, right!)

We reached nearly around 2am, exhausted. But it was a fun night! Definitely a must to go again.. I'd celebrate my birthday there, too! That place is very cosy! Go check it out people, especially after office hours!

By the way, my sister in Brunei have blogged about his birthday, too. Click HERE to read it!

**Exposure of pics varied, thus different lightings on the pics..
